It all begins with an idea.
In finding creative inspiration, the options are endless - podcasts, blogs, writing prompts, YouTube channels, books, and so much more. I’ve always been a storyteller since I was six. Then in High school I won a simple classroom short story contest and decided this was the thing I wanted to do for the rest of my life. But as everyone knows, reality hits it hits hard. The writing slowed down after college and working 9-5 jobs. I gained the mindset of writing only when having inspiration to make anything, learned early on how that is complete nonsense.
Despite going to college and having a stable full-time job that provided decent income, there was a lingering dream within me. As I approached my thirties, time kept advancing, prompting me to take a chance on myself.
But struggles with my Mental illness, kept pushing me down, drowning me in depression. Still I decided to pursue this dream.
While my love for horror is undeniable, I have also explored the captivating realm of mystery thrillers. However, my preference lies in psychological horror, whether it’s shows, movies and games. The two titles which has helped inspire me the most is Silent Hill and Alan Wake. These two games have shaped my perception. My goal is to surpass their influence rather than becoming a mere replica.
Even though I want to have an online presence I still want to be a faceless presence to still keep my privacy, I am an introvert at heart.
My goal is to make a significant imprint on my profession, showcasing that transforming dreams into a sustainable source of income is within reach. Remember, no matter how many times you feel uninspired, keep writing!
